lighting, part 2

Today we'll be setting up each of the 3 types of lights in teams of 4-5 people. we'll cover how to assemble and mount each light type, basic parts of the light systems, and how to power and 'strike' (turn on) lights. you'll get a chance to practice basic 3-point lighting with a real live subject! Be sure to check out the new training videos on the video bar--especially Episode 134.

As we wrap up Audio, we'll transition to learning about lighting basics: Parts of the lighting setup, basic 3-pt. lighting theory, and how to assemble lights. You have an in-class reading assignment to complete today before we begin working with light kits; we'll also view a podcast about 3-point lighting.
