Get Volunteer Experience!

You now how I'm always saying you should volunteer for stuff, to get experience and meet local filmmakers?  How about THIS:

New Mexico Women in Film is getting ready to shoot their annual donated PSA and are looking for volunteer crew members to assist in making this commercial. 

This year they are making the PSA for NM DOG, an organization dedicated to promoting animal welfare in New Mexico. They work closely with the Bernalillo County Sheriff's department to remove dogs from neglectful, chaining situations.  http://www.nmdog.org

The PSA is going to be shot on location and simulate a 'swat rescue' of a chained dog. They are  looking into getting a 15' crane donated and would like to use at least two cameras. As this is a somewhat ambitious project they would like to get as many film professionals willing to donate their time as possible.

Great Job on Set Construction and Decoration, Period 3!!!  It's House Party time!

A great big THANK YOU to the 4th Period students who showed up for work on Tuesday, Jan. 14th.  Your flexibility and professional attitude are INCREDIBLE, and I am so grateful to you for helping me with the Academy project.  This is what real professionalism is all about---the ability to quickly "shift gears" when necessary and get the job done.
Sorry we missed a day of Production because of absences, but we were able to take advantage of the opportunity, and you've saved the day for hundreds of 9th Graders.
